Carpinteria was one of our first camping trips trying out a trailer. We rented one since we were debating about buying one for our family, and this place convinced us that the camping lifestyle was it for us.
This quintessential beach spot was very tranquil, and the camp hosts kept it quiet at night. Between the tide pools, beach and campsites, we stayed here most of the time and made one trip up to Santa Barbara with its proximity.
Living in California, it still surprises me how much the beaches change as you make your way up the coast. They each have their unique vibe and look. Many are more peaceful than others, and this is definitely one of them.
There is a little town right behind the campsite that you can ride your bikes to or even walk to grab some food or go to the market.
We rented the RV from 101 rentals and honestly it was great because they set up the RV for you before you even arrive and there is minimal work. Now owning and traveling with a trailer, you underestimate the amount of time that goes into breakdown and set up, so their service is great.
